Resolving Old Trauma with Thought Field Therapy

Martha's (not her real name) experience resolving a trauma that had been with her for 6 decades is described in her report to me below:

"Dear Dr. Sugarman,

“Mom seems so happy lately!”, I hear from my kids. I was delighted to know that it showed. I am remembering the experience that caused me such misery. It's clear in my mind but no longer is the bad feeling connected with it. I had no idea how much it weighed on me. Thanks to Thought Field Therapy and you for taking a pain [trauma] that had been with me for 60 years and relieving it in minutes!

Many, many thanks,
Martha B.

Overwhelmingly Positive Response to Using TFT with Victims of Hurricane Katrina
Some months after Hurricane Katrina, in January 2006, I traveled to New Orleans, Louisiana as a member of the Association for Thought Field Therapy Foundation Trauma Relief Team. Negative Feelings Alleviated Through TFT Phone Sessions
“Just before Christmas time last year, I was going through a very difficult time dealing with some unjustified legal issues. These issues were affecting my attitude, my outlook on life, and ultimately became a reason I found myself unexpectedly unemployed. My wife was justifiably concerned that the Christmas time family reunion of our grown children, their spouses, and our grandchildren was going to be negatively impacted by my poor attitude and growing depression over these issues."  Read more

Child’s Extreme Anxiety is Overcome
"My 4 year-old son has always been a very happy, outgoing child whom nothing can phase. Nothing, that is, except getting a haircut or getting his fingernails or toenails cut. When he was a baby, my husband would literally have to hold him down while I cut his nails, and he would be screaming the entire time. Not only was I afraid that I would traumatize him for life (clearly something already had, but we had no idea what it was), but I was half-afraid that someone would hear the screaming and call Child Protective Services on us."  Read more
